Dr. Butrick is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School.
He completed his residency at Washington University in St. Louis,
Missouri and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is an
active member of the American Urogynecology Society, founding member
and board director of the International Pelvic Pain Society.
Dr. Charles Butrick has trained around the world with various experts in the fields of gynecology, urogynecology and urology.
He continues to train in new techniques and procedures in order to
offer his patients the best care available. In addition, for the last
decade he has been involved in training other physicians in both
surgical and non-surgical techniques. He provides many workshops and
lectures, is involved in cutting edge research and has authored
numerous articles and textbook chapters.
Dr. Butrick is

some of the cutting-edge technologies that he uses. These include: a
minimally invasive outpatient surgery for urinary incontinence and an implanted device that uses pulses of energy—like a pacemaker—to control problems of urinary incontinence, urinary retention and bladder pain syndromes.

instrumentation prior to their release to the general medical
community. A significant part of his practice is helping patients who
have undergone previous therapy which resulted in poor outcomes such as
recurrent prolapse, incontinence and/or postoperative complications.
