Meet the Authors of The Accidental Sisterhood.

Raymond A. Bologna, M.D.

Dr. Bologna, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, received his doctor of medicine from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) and completed his residency in urology at NEOUCOM's affiliated Urology Program. He went on to complete a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a second fellowship in Advanced Pelvic Floor Surgery at SUMMA Health System, Akron, Ohio. Dr. Bologna is a co-chairman of Female Pelvic Medicine at Akron General Medical Center and chairman of that same division for the department of Urology at SUMMA Health System. He is also an assistant professor of urology and director of adult research for the Department of Urology at NEOUCOM. Dr. Bologna practices urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in Akron, Ohio.


Jennifer Heisel Mangano, M.A., P.T.


Ms. Heisel Mangano received a bachelor of science from The Ohio State University's Physical Therapy Program. She holds a master's degree in exercise physiology from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. Ms. Heisel Mangano, who specializes in women's health physical therapy, is coordinator of the Women's Health Division of Portage Physical Therapists and director of the group's Wadsworth (Ohio) Clinic. She has published a number of articles inher area of specialization and lectures widely on the subject before university, community and professional audiences.


J.J. Rodgers

A long-time writer and editor in the field of health-care marketing and communication, Mr. Rodgers is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a master of management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University. His experience includes work in both the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries. Prior to relocating to Akron, Ohio, he provided health and pension fund communication for the American Labor Movement in Washington, D.C.
